Mini Vacation

We decided to take a little vacation to Long Beach. It was a nice get away. However, because it was unplanned we were not able to take as many pictures as we wanted to because we forgot our camera. Oh well, Luckly, cell phones come with cameras. Sorry if the pictures are not as beautiful as we hoped though.

The hotel we stayed at.

Funny story! When we arrived to the hotel we waited in line to check in. (A long time actually) We we waiting so long that one of the employees was trying to help us check in at the Kiosk. Arturo did not want to do that, so when someone was available at the front desk to help us we went to her. She quickly found our reservation that we make so long ago, (2 hours prior) and gave us the cards for our room on the 2nd floor. When we got to the room, it was filthy. We quickly left and went back to the front desk. We were given a new room on the 12th floor. When we got to the room there was a do not disturb sign on the door. I thought that was odd, but went in anyway. That room was dirty too. The cleaning crew thought someone was still there so they did not clean it. Finally, we were given a beautiful suite on the 12th floor. The room was great. I did not want to leave. I am sure we will go back again in the future.

San Diego's Blast from the Past

Over the weekend we went to San Diego to visit with friends and family. It was a nice little trip. Saturday we went to the mall. On our way back, I saw what I thought was a toll road or something similar. Nope it was a drive-in theater. I thought those were all gone. I have never been to one before, so after begging Arturo and coaxing from his mom and sisters, we went. It was so much fun! I am hoping to go again next time we visit.





One thing I did not know, you actually get to watch two movies. We only saw one. We will have to go back and watch two next time.
